I was born & raised in the west side of San Antonio, TX. I am grateful to my parents who instilled the value of education despite not graduating high school. With a bachelor's degree from UT Austin, my educational pursuits took me out of state to Pennsylvania where I earned a doctorate.

I am blessed with my 17-year-old daughter who infuses my life with love, joy & pride; with my 19-year-old son who teaches me to grow & live boldly; with my mother who is a marvel of perseverance & strength.

My non-profit experience includes board positions at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center & Cara Mia Theatre Company in Dallas, TX.

After nearly 25 years as a licensed psychologist, my journey of self-healing has taken on cultural roots & come full circle. Ley doy gracias a Circulo de Chispas & the incomparable founder.
