Elsa Mares

Being born and raised in South Texas I have always had a strong sense of family and community. I strongly believe that having strong family and community relationships is the key to living a full happy life. Showing up for and making yourself available for those in need is a major component of what family and community mean to me. Since a very young age I have been a part of community service programs like Habitat for Humanity the Texas Food Bank, and Local Animal shelters. I love helping the community and Feeling like an active member of it. I believe that in order to be a catalyst of positive change in the lives of those in need, we need to generate a shift in their mind, body, soul and spirit by showing up, creating community and providing support through a helping hand.

 

Beyond accounting, I am a part of several sport teams in the community including Softball & Sand volleyball. I love nature and walks with my husband and dogs. I like discovering new bands and going to local concerts. This has really connected me with the creative and artistic side of San Antonio and Austin. Where I have made long life friends and amazing connections.
